Minutes are crucial when someone's heart stops beating. Gritman offers two Heartsaver classes in June, one designed for adult rescue and the other for pediatrics.
The next adult Heartsaver Automated External Defibrillator and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation class is June 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.at Gritman Medical Center. Pre-registration is required by visiting gritman.org and clicking on the "events" tab. Registration fee is $35.
The class teaches cardiopulmonary resuscitation, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator, and choking relief in adults, children and infants. A certification card valid for two years is provided upon successful completion of the course.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid with CPR is June 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Gritman. Pre-registration is required by visiting gritman.org and clicking on the "events" tab. Registration is $60.
This class teaches the basics of first aid, medical emergencies, CPR and AED for children, as well as choking relief. A two-year certification card is provided upon successful completion of the course. This class is suggested for anyone involved in child care including teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, coaches and more.
