Free Prostate Cancer Screening Clinics available at Gritman and PRH

MOSCOW — Gritman Medical Center and Pullman Regional Hospital, in collaboration with Palouse Urology, will host two free Prostate Cancer Screening Clinics, 8 a.m.- noon, Sept. 18, at Palouse Urology office in Pullman Regional Hospital and 1-5 p.m., Sept. 20 at Palouse Urology office in Gritman Medical Center.

Those attending the clinic provide a simple blood sample, which will be tested for Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), a common indicator of potential prostate cancer. Attendees can also choose to receive a physical exam to check for possible prostate tumors. No appointment is needed and walk-ins are welcome.

Attendees will receive their results within 7-10 days.

The clinic will be led by Board Certified Urologists, Dr. John Keizur and Dr. Bryan Smith of Palouse Urology.

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men, after lung cancer. Men ages 50 and older are encouraged to attend this wellness event to receive a free prostate cancer screening and exam.

This clinic is free and open to the public thanks to donations from Pullman Regional Hospital and the Gritman Medical Center Foundation.
