American Diabetes Association to offer tips and advice for managing diabetes at free class on Jan. 6
Gritman Clinical Nutrition and Diabetes Care is hosting a free Diabetes Wellness Class on Tuesday, January 6 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Gritman Conference Center. The class will feature a presentation by Ted Duncan, Regional Director of the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

Duncan will discuss the ADA resources that are available to help people with diabetes and their caregivers. This will include advice for leading healthier lifestyles in order to manage and control diabetes.

"We are very excited to have Mr. Duncan speak at our diabetes wellness class," said Francie Tyler, RN. "He is a dynamic speaker who has traveled the country speaking to others about his own experiences as a parent of someone who has diabetes."

Diabetes wellness is part of the monthly diabetes education series sponsored by Gritman Clinical Nutrition and Diabetes Care.

Free classes are held the first Tuesday of each month. For more information about this class or individualized diabetes counseling, call the Diabetes Education office at (208) 883-6341.
