Gritman awarded $225,000 for new diagnostic and intervention equipment
MOSCOW, Idaho— M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust of Vancouver, Washington, recently awarded Gritman Medical Center $225,000 for new diagnostic and intervention equipment.

“We are honored the Murdock Charitable Trust recognized the significance of new diagnostic equipment and how it will enrich and strengthen health care services to patients in our area,” said Kara Besst, President and CEO of Gritman Medical Center. “We share the Trust’s goal of enhancing quality of life in our region.”

The grant will fund the purchase of the latest 3D breast biopsy guidance unit and three state-of-the-art ultrasound units. The innovative breast biopsy guidance unit localizes and targets regions of interest with precision and accuracy.

The new ultrasound units provide the most advanced technology available and provide images with enhanced resolution.

“Our decisions in radiology are grounded in our mission, vision, and values,” said Scott Nelson, Director of Imaging at Gritman Medical Center. “This gift, from the Murdock Foundation, aids our organization in being able to provide the highest quality of care, and we are so very thankful for this gift to our community.”

The new equipment will be available this summer.
