Gritman welcomes new wound care physician
Moscow, ID – Coming to the Palouse with more than 36 years of experience, Gritman Medical Center is proud to welcome Jane Fore, M.D. as the newest member of the Wound Care Center team.
Dr. Fore is Board Certified in hyperbaric and internal medicine. By combining her knowledge from both specialties, she is able to heal wounds while examining what factors may be causing them. Dr. Fore’s approach to medicine is to care for the entire patient’s wellbeing rather than just the ailment that caused them to seek care.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Dr. Fore attended Kansas State University where she received her B.S. in biology. She went on to earn her medical degree at University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in internal medicine.
Dr. Fore moved to Lewiston in 1982 and began her practice in internal medicine. Having always enjoyed working with her hands, she transitioned to wound care about 10 years ago because it allowed her to preform minor, bedside surgeries while still using her knowledge of internal medicine.
Dr. Fore said she loves being able to give hope to patients and cure them when they have been told there were no other options but major surgery. Being able to watch a patient’s sprit heal as their wounds do is one of her favorite parts of being doctor.
In her spare time, Dr. Fore enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, be it collecting rocks, rafting or hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
